Open House

We had an open house at O's middle school. She really seems to be enjoying this year so far. She's all twitterpatted over some kid so she flutters around like a giddy butterfly! She's doing excellent so I'm not complaining. Every class we went into tonight the teachers commented on how this was their "favorite class". I tried to introduce myself to all her teachers, but we were kind of rushed out to get to the next class. All I really wanted by introducing myself was for her teachers to say what a great student she is. That's my right as a parent, to hear good things about their kids and just sort of bask in it. To me, that's the best compliment someone can give you, "You've got a great kid".

No updates on Madison lately. Status quo I guess. No better, no worse. They supposedly went in and did some sort of procedure in her nostrils but she's still on the ventilator. I'm kind of bothered by the whole thing, but I don't feel that I can say much, not being the parent and all. Hopefully there will be some good news come this weekend.

Travis is suppose to be graduating from basic training this week. He had some catching up to do due to a injured hip earlier in his training. I'm getting more nervous the farther he goes in this training because I know his chances of having a gun slapped in his hands and a boot up his ass kicking him out to the front line are increasing everyday. He was only looking to get into this for the short term/part time but it will more than likely become way more than that. Not to mention that he hasn't even seen his new niece yet. Gawd, I can't believe my babies have babies.

All for now.
